CPR (all BASIC level CPR courses include adult, child & infant CPR & AED certification) – all CPR certificates are valid for 2 years
BLS for the HEALTHCARE PROVIDER – American Heart Association certificate valid for 2 years
Heartsaver AED - American Heart Association certificate valid for 2 years
First Aid (all courses include basic & pediatric certification) – certificate is valid for 2 years
Preventive Health Practices - certificate does NOT expire

$ Occupations marked with the “$” denote occupations that qualify for the YMCA training grant (when funds are available). All types of childcare providers qualify for this grant. Applications for the grant are available by clicking on “$5.00 classes” in the side bar or by calling the Vista YMCA Child Care Resource Service at 760-726-9100, ext. 3350. Vouchers are non-transferable and must be used prior to their expiration date. If you have a valid voucher: Choose the “I have YMCA vouchers” option.

$ Licensed family day care / childcare provider: Normally need to renew both BASIC LEVEL CPR & BASIC LEVEL First Aid. (Receive EMSA approved certificates) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment.

$ Provider GETTING a family day care / child care license: Normally need all three courses (15 hours) which include BASIC LEVEL CPR & BASIC LEVEL First Aid & Preventive Health Practices. (Receive EMSA approved certificates) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment.

$ Preschool staff: Normally need both BASIC LEVEL CPR & BASIC LEVEL First Aid and may require Preventive Health Practices. (Receive EMSA approved certificates) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment.

$ Before & after school child care – elementary school age: (Receive BASIC LEVEL CPR and BASIC LEVEL First Aid certifications) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment.

$ Chicano Federation student (already discounted rate, no other discounts apply): Must have proof of current participation in the Chicano Federation childcare training: Normally need all three courses (15 hours) which include BASIC LEVEL CPR, BASIC LEVEL First Aid & Preventive Health Practices. (Receive EMSA approved certificates). Choose the “CHICANO FEDERATION” option.

$ Harmonium staff (already discounted rate, no other discounts apply): (Receive BASIC LEVEL CPR and BASIC LEVEL First Aid certifications) Choose the “HARMONIUM staff” option.

$ Nanny: (Receive BASIC LEVEL CPR and BASIC LEVEL First Aid certifications) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment.

$ Denotes qualifies for YMCA training grant (when available). All types of childcare providers qualify for this grant. Applications are available by clicking on “$5.00 classes” in the side bar or by calling the Vista YMCA Child Care Resource Service at 760-726-9100, ext. 3350. You must turn in an unexpired voucher for EACH course. Vouchers are non-transferable. Prices with vouchers: Choose the “I have YMCA vouchers” option.

Medical and dental staff and student (this class is only available in English): Receive American Heart Association “BLS for the Healthcare Provider” certification Choose the “BLS FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER” option with your preferred method of payment.

4 hours of continuing education units available for dental staff (only) at no extra charge: Must take American Heart Association “BLS FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER” certification. (This class is only available in English)

Elementary school teacher and special education teacher & aid: (Receive American Heart Association “Heartsaver AED” certification) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

Personal trainers: (Receive American Heart Association “Heartsaver AED” certification) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

Advantage Center staff and La Mesa Work center staff (discounted rate): Choose the “LMWC or ADV CTR” option.

Group home, home care, home health, and residential care: Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

Security guard: Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

Sports coach & camp counselor: Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

High School student (discounted rate): Choose the “HIGH SCHOOL” option.

Foster Parent & adoptive parent (discounted rate): Choose the “FOSTER / ADOPTIVE” option.

STCW (US Coast Guard approved): (Receive STCW approved certification) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

Bus Driver & Motorcycle Instructor (Receive Department of Transportation approved certification) Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment

Other – not on the above list: Choose the “BASIC level” option with your preferred method of payment
